How to Stay Fit and Healthy in Summer

Summers are almost here, and it brings along many harsh effects. With every passing week, the temperature will rise, and it will affect people’s health. For the coming summers are you taking enough precautions? The soaring high temperature will not change but we certainly can change our few habits to beat the intolerable heat and keep our physical, mental and emotional health good altogether.

1. Good Skin Care

Don’t we often forget to take care of our skin? After all the largest organ in the body fights all the external factors to enter our body unnecessarily. Even you are running to the nearest park to take a walk to cover the skin areas exposed to the sun with sunscreen. There is different SPF sunscreen for different situations so either you can consult your dermatologist as which one you must use. Direct sunlight can damage your skin beyond repair.

2. Avoid Intoxication

You must avoid buying highly alcoholic beverages as it could dehydrate you totally. During summers our body gets dehydrated due to the scorching heat and high temperature, we already sweat a lot and if you drink alcohol it will further deteriorate your condition. Even if you wish to drink then make sure that you drink loads and loads of water.

3. Workout for that perfect summer body

Working out during the summers can fetch you some awesome results. During summers workout should be the regular part of your routine.

4. Wear loose cotton clothes

During winters you must wear loose winter clothes or else on rubbing with your skin it will leave rashes and it will become difficult for you to perform your daily activities. So, wear breathable clothing that keeps you cool.

5. Stay Hydrated

This rule is the number one above of them all. It is very crucial during summers to keep your body fully hydrated and functional. During high temperature the body gets dehydrated and that reduces the body’s energy levels. You can also drink flavored water by adding fruits that are rich in minerals like lemon, kiwi, watermelon.

6. Eat light food

Because eating heavy food during summers is considered unhealthy by many people, therefore, some people just avoid eating food but that must not be done. Your body requires enough nutrients no matter what season it is. Instead of eating unhealthy and oily food you must eat foods that are nutritious and healthy, high on nutrients like ivy gourd, cucumber, eggs, meat, proteins etc.

7. Get outside to do exercises

Summers are fun to perform some light summer activities like roller blading, kids, cycling, swimming.

8. Try cooling and refreshing drinks during summers

Make this wonderful addition to your weight loss regime. Here are some of the best detox drinks that you need to try:

(a) Lemon and Mint Detox Water

Lemon is the main element used to prepare the summer coolers, it boosts weight loss and helps in rejuvenating the skin. In water squeeze a few lemons and then add mint leaves to it. Put the drink in the fridge and then your favorite detox drink will be prepared in no time. Just allow it a little time to settle down a little time. It will help in weight loss, maintain digestive health and will keep you hydrated.
