Microsoft Bing has released the IndexNow plugin for WordPress. Now WordPress site owners will be able to add IndexNow support to their site and instantly index the site in Bing and Yandex.
Recall that Microsoft developed the IndexNow protocol in October 2021 as a new method of interaction between sites and search engines. It allows you to automatically inform search engines via API about changes on the site: new pages appear, updates, or deletions of already indexed pages.
Currently, IndexNow is only supported by Microsoft Bing and Yandex. Google is currently testing the new protocol and may use it in the future.
