Google Search will Remove User Contact Information from Search Results Upon Request

Google Search has updated its privacy policy to allow users to protect their online contact information.

Now anyone can send a request to remove their personal data from Google search, for example, ask to remove their phone number, residential address, or email address. To do this, you must fill out an application, after which Google will evaluate the content on the specified pages and its source. If the information is posted on official, state, and public sites, then deletion will be denied.

Detailed information can be found in the help.

The company also clarified that after deletion, the data can still be found, for example, in other search engines.

As a reminder, Google has released its 2021 Search Engine Spam Report.
