Google Ads to update inappropriate content policy

Google has announced that it will change its inappropriate content policy effective June 1, 2022.

The new rules will prohibit content that:

  • will allow to establish the identity of the person;
  • contribute to financial fraud;
  • steal personal data;
  • contains malicious contacts or harassment.

Violating the new policy will not result in an immediate account suspension. First, a warning will be issued. It will be received at least seven days before the suspension of the account.

Google recommends that you review the policy update to understand if any of the ads are covered by the policy. If they do, the ads must be removed by June 1, 2022.
